Dear Host Family,

My name is Michelle Wanjiku Muiruri, and I am a Certified Nursing Assistant from Kenya with experience in healthcare, home care, and supporting elderly people and individuals with different care needs. I am a caring, responsible, and adaptable person, and I am excited about the opportunity to live with a host family in Germany or the Netherlands while gaining new experiences and becoming part of a different culture.

I completed my Certified Nursing Assistant training at Kindred International School and gained practical experience during my internship at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH). I have also worked in home-care settings, where I supported elderly people and people living with disabilities. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, good communication, personal hygiene, safety, and treating every person with dignity and respect.

In addition to my healthcare background, I have experience in hospitality, food and beverage, and customer service. I hold a Certificate in Food and Beverage from Nairobi Institute of Business Studies and have worked as a waitress, chef, and barista. These experiences have made me independent, organized, hardworking, and comfortable working with people from different backgrounds.

I am particularly interested in this opportunity because I would like to experience everyday life in Europe, improve my language skills, learn about German or Dutch culture, and build meaningful connections with the people I live with. I understand that becoming part of a host family requires respect, flexibility, responsibility, and an open mind, and I am ready to contribute positively to the family’s daily life.
