Dear Hiring Manager,

Every patient I have cared for has taught me that dignity is built in small moments: a clean bed, a patient meal, a steady hand during a transfer. I am Hellen Kerubo Nyaberi, a caregiver with three years of hands-on experience, and I am applying for the Caregiver position. I would bring practical skill, reliability and compassion to your team.

I am qualified for this role because I have done the work in real clinical settings. I have given care to children, the elderly, people with disabilities and the sick. My training through SHED Health Organization is backed by daily practice in both a health centre and a mission hospital. I am fluent in English and Kiswahili, so I can communicate clearly with patients, families and medical staff.

At Getembe Health Centre, I provided hospice and palliative care, administered prescribed oral medication, tested and recorded blood sugars, and took and recorded vital signs. I also lifted, turned and positioned patients in bed, and transferred them safely between bed and wheelchair.

At Nyanchwa Mission Hospital, my responsibilities covered skincare, grooming and oral care, colostomy bag care, and administering prescribed insulin. I emptied urine bags, recorded urine input and output, followed each patient’s recommended diet, and fed patients orally.

These tasks need accuracy and patience, because a wrong reading or a missed record can harm a patient. I bring both, along with empathy, problem-solving ability and a calm manner under pressure.
