Dear Host Family,

My name is Shelmith Wanjiru Muchumar, and I’m a warm, enthusiastic, and dependable young woman from Kenya. I’m so excited to apply for an Au Pair position because caring for children, learning about new cultures, and truly becoming part of a host family is something I’m deeply passionate about.

Growing up in Kenya, I completed my schooling entirely in English, so I’m comfortable and confident communicating every day. People often describe me as patient, honest, and adaptable—qualities I lean on to make sure children always feel safe, happy, and supported.

In my childcare experience, I’ve handled everything from managing daily routines and prepping simple meals to helping with homework, playing educational games, and keeping bedtime smooth and peaceful. I’m also happy to pitch in around the house with light chores like keeping the kids' rooms tidy, taking care of their laundry, and keeping shared spaces organized.
