My name is Cristina Ferreira, I am a trained Geriatric Technician with certified credentials.
My goal is to continue this profession, vocation and knowledge from this geriatrics course and past experiences through your company.
In addition to caring for a 72 year old lady with serious asthma and dementia, I also cared for my grandmother who was bedridden. Both of this experiences awakened in me the vocation,dedication and interest in caring for the elderly people, their nutrition, medication, control, hygiene, as well as the support and patience by listening to them, talking to them and understanding their needs and desires offering then the assistance, support and love they so desperately need for they day to day lives as well as well-being and comfort.
Throughout my work as assistant and translator, I have had the opportunity to interact with patients from different countries and with different illnesses, this has been of great value in the practical recognition of signs and reactions to different diseases and clinical conditions.
