I have good clinical knowledge and in evidence based practice which involves providing holistic, quality care based on most up to date research and knowledge rather than traditional methods, advice from Colleagues or personal beliefs. Eg: the use of oxygen in hypoxia and organ failure in patient with COPD. Eg: In fact, one of my most rewarding experiences as a nurse was working with a 12-year-old patient who was admitted with severe anxiety and depression. I took the time to build a rapport with them, using active listening skills and empathy to understand their concerns. I collaborated with the multidisciplinary team to develop a comprehensive care plan that addressed their physical, emotional, and social needs. I also provided ongoing support and education to their family, including teaching them coping strategies and connecting them with community resources. Seeing the patient make significant progress and eventually discharge with improved mental health was incredibly rewarding.
Another experience that stands out was working with a 15-year-old patient who was struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation. I provided a safe and non-judgmental space for them to express their feelings and concerns. I collaborated with the team to develop a crisis plan and ensure their safety. I also connected them with community resources and support groups to help them manage their mental health.
These experiences have taught me the importance of providing person-centered care, prioritizing safety, and promoting recovery. I am eager to bring my skills and experience to a care setting or as a carer, where I can make a positive impact on the lives of otherwise. I have knowledge in clinical governance, which is a framework through which Healthcare organization are accountable for continuously improving the quality of their service and safeguarding quality of care. I am proud to have the opportunity to participate in the healing of my patients and their family's heart, mind, soul and body. I endeavor to understand my patients always and see things from their perceptive and not from my perceptive or my perceptive of their perceptive. I respect their values, preferences and needs. I was once told by my advance nursing tutor that if nursing was about the medical procedures, then robots can be made to do them. They can't because they lack the ability to feel, and nursing is all about caring and empathizing with your patients. I make sure that my patients know that I am there and also feel for them. I put my patient first and provide the highest level of safe and meaningful care.
I am cheerful, resilient and cooperative. I get along with every one due to my friendly disposition. It has been my greatest dream to work with a team of professionals that will open doors to opportunities of ongoing training and development. I also aspire to work in a diverse community where I can learn from different backgrounds and enhance my creativity. Please do give me the chance. I will be a good role model. I understand the NMC code of conduct and guidelines of professional practice and and will go the extra mile in helping build a positive image for the trust and the NHS in general by prioritizing people, practicing effectively, preserving safety and promoting
