In the House of Mercy we care for people holistically. We specialize in interdisciplinary long-term care for the very elderly and chronically ill. In our nursing hospital in Vienna Seeböckgasse, we care for 350 residents on twelve wards. At this location, in addition to the eight geriatric wards, we have two wards with a focus on dementia, one ward with the main focus on multiple sclerosis, and a persistent vegetative state ward.
We are looking for:
1 APN Advances Practice Nurse Gerontopsychiatry - all genders Part-time or full-time, up to 37 hours per week

Your tasks:
* Individual application of the nursing process: Develop and implement together with the nursing team
* Nursing plans that are tailored to the needs of our geriatric psychiatric patients
* Nursing therapeutic measures: Implement and further develop nursing therapeutic approaches to treat mental
* illnesses in old age
* Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, doctors, and therapists to to ensure comprehensive care
* Advice and training: Support and train caregivers and relatives in dealing with geriatric psychiatric residents
* Quality assurance: Participate in projects to improve the quality of care and develop standards in geriatric psychiatric care
* Creativity and autonomy: Bring in your own ideas and enjoy a high degree of autonomy in your everyday work

This is what you bring with you:
* A completed or ongoing master's degree in Advanced Nursing Practice
* Several years of professional experience with a focus on (geronto)psychiatry is an advantage
* Sound knowledge of the care and support of mental illnesses in older people, as well as strong social and communication skills
* Empathy, patience and a high level of sense of responsibility
What else is important?
The collective agreement salary for this position is € 3,873.84 (including € 135.50 care allowance) gross per month on a full-time basis (37 hours per week). Your actual salary depends on your previous service - we would like to agree this with you during our personal interview.

The minimum salary for the position as APN Advances Practice Nurse Gerontopsychiatry - all genders is EUR 3,933.14 gross per month based on full-time employment. Willingness to pay more.
