Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Certified Nurse Assistant position at your facility. With over five years of hands on clinical experience at one of Ghana’s leading teaching hospitals and a recent qualification as a Registered Nurse, I bring a unique blend of practical skills, academic training, and unwavering dedication to patient care.
From March 2019 to date, I have worked as a Nurse Assistant at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where I spent three years on the General Surgery Ward before transferring to the Neurosurgery Ward, where I currently serve. These roles have honed my ability to provide compassionate, detail-oriented care to patients with a variety of complex needs. In addition to my CNA duties, I actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and remain calm and resourceful in high-pressure situations.
Recognizing the need to advance my clinical knowledge, I pursued a Registered Nursing top-up program at Valley View University from 2020 to 2023, which I successfully completed. After passing my licensing exams, I began my nursing internship in the same hospital, which has further enhanced my clinical reasoning and broadened my experience in patient assessment and care planning.
I take pride in my strong work ethic, empathy toward patients, and ability to adapt quickly to changing environments. My experiences in both surgical and neurological units have equipped me with the resilience and clinical awareness needed to thrive in any healthcare setting.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills, experience, and passion for patient-centered care to your team. I would welcome the chance to further discuss how I can contribute to your facility’s mission and values.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity for an interview.
Sincerely,
Sheena Asiamah
