Dear Hiring Manager,
My name is Laura Naomi, and I am a Kenyan applicant with a strong interest in elderly care, healthcare support, and social care. I am currently completing my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training at Kiharu Technical College in Kenya, with my practical attachment scheduled from January to March 2027.
I am particularly interested in this opportunity because I enjoy caring for and supporting people, especially those who may need assistance in their daily lives. I have previous experience working as a nanny, where I cared for children, prepared meals, maintained a safe and clean environment, supported daily routines, and provided companionship and emotional support.
In addition, I have personal caregiving experience from helping to care for my elderly great-grandmother. This experience taught me the importance of patience, compassion, respect, responsibility, and paying attention to an elderly person's individual needs.
Through my CNA training, I have gained knowledge and practical skills in basic caregiving, personal hygiene, infection prevention and control, hand hygiene, bed making, nutrition and feeding, psychosocial support, communication, active listening, and client safety. I am a hardworking, responsible and adaptable person who is willing to learn and work as part of a team.
I currently have basic German language skills (A1) and I am actively working to improve my language abilities. I am also open to learning the local language and adapting to a new culture and working environment.
