Caring for patients in the comfort of their own homes has always felt like the most meaningful side of nursing to me — it's where attentiveness, patience, and trust matter as much as clinical skill. That's the kind of care I aim to bring to every patient I work with.
I am a Graduate Nurse currently awaiting my Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) licensure examination results, with a Certificate in Nurse Assistance and over three years of direct patient care experience. I believe I am well qualified for this role because my training and hands-on experience have prepared me specifically for the demands of one-on-one home care: monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility and daily living activities, administering medication, and maintaining clear, accurate patient records.
Over the course of my clinical rotations, I gained experience across medical-surgical, maternal-child health, and ward management settings, including nasogastric (NG) tube feeding, wound care, and infection-control procedures. I also completed a nursing assistant attachment at Mt Sinai Hospital, where I worked closely with Registered Nurses across multiple wards to deliver consistent, compassionate patient care. Alongside this, I currently volunteer with Red Cross Kenya on community health outreach and emergency response, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm, communicate clearly, and adapt quickly in unpredictable situations — skills that translate directly to home care, where I often work independently without a full clinical team nearby.
I am reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a patient's care on my own, and I am available to start immediately. I would welcome the opportunity to bring this experience to your patients and their families.
