Internship
1 Year 5 Month, Jan 2024 - Jun 2025
I am Tinashe K Mkosi, a 20-year-old from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, born on 24 December 2004 at Mpilo
Central Hospital. I live with my parents and two sisters. My father works as a Sales Consultant, while my
mother works as a Bursar at a local school. My younger sisters are in Grade 3 and Form Four,
respectively.
From a young age, I have been fascinated by engineering and construction technology. This interest grew
stronger as I progressed through school. I began my education at Mgoqo Primary School from 2011 to
2017. In 2018, I enrolled at Maranatha Adventist High School, where I completed my Ordinary Level in
2021, passing 8 subjects. In 2022, I rewrote Mathematics and passed while doing the Advanced Level at
Denmark Training Services, attaining 14 points, including Statistics.
During a career guidance session at school, I discovered that engineering and construction align perfectly with my interests in
Mathematics, problem-solving, and technology. After completing my Advanced Level in 2024, I started
working at Impartial Enterprises, where I gained valuable experience. My
Responsibilities include web design, software development, and system maintenance. These
Experiences deepened my understanding of engineering and construction and fueled my desire to pursue a career in this field.
Through research, I discovered the exciting opportunities available for engineering and construction apprenticeships in Europe, which align perfectly with my career goals. In the same year, I proactively
started learning the German language at Sprachschule Institute, progressing from A1 to B2 level
proficiency. Additionally, I attended workshops and seminars at Econet and TelOne to boost my
knowledge and experience in the engineering and construction industry. This exposure has motivated me to pursue an engineering and construction apprenticeship in Europe, where I can develop my skills, contribute to innovative projects, and learn
more about their culture, history, and way of life.
I am excited about the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop my problem-solving-
solving skills, and gain industry-recognised certifications. Upon completing my 36-month apprenticeship,
I plan to return to Zimbabwe as a certified engineer and continue to work at Impartial Enterprises,
sharing my skills, innovative ideas, and valuable experience to boost the engineering and construction in Zimbabwe. In the
future, after having saved money, I plan to open my own engineering and construction business and employ young people.
Thank you for considering my application for an apprenticeship position. I look forward to a positive
response.
Yours sincerely,
Tinashe K Mkosi.
