Thank you for considering me to be part of your home. I know it takes trust to open your space to someone new, and I don’t take that lightly.
Here’s what I can offer you:
I bring the spirit of Kenya, warm hospitality, a deep respect for elders, and a culture rich in community and storytelling. I’d love to cook for you (you haven’t lived until you’ve tried coastal pilau or freshly fried mahamri), share stories from home, and exchange ideas over a good meal. Food, I’ve found, speaks every language.
But more than that - I’m here to support. Whether that means helping with errands, assisting in caregiving, or simply being present and dependable - I’ll be there. I’ve worked with elderly people before, and I understand the value of patience, empathy, and listening. That’s what I hope to bring into your home.
I'm also eager to learn your language, your customs, and your everyday life. I’ve already started learning basic German (Ich lerne Deutsch!) and I’m excited to keep improving through conversation, experience, and daily routines.
Outside of helping, I enjoy reading philosophy (Dostoevsky, Marcus Aurelius), coaching rugby, and long walks - if you like stories, I have plenty, and if you enjoy silence, I know when to keep things peaceful too.
In short: I’m grounded, respectful, and truly looking forward to not just living in your home - but sharing life with you.
Warm regards,
Burashi
