Application for a Pharmaceutical Position in Germany

A committed pharmaceutical professional with hospital-based experience, a strong focus on patient safety, and a genuine determination to develop my career within the German healthcare system, I am excited to present my application for a suitable pharmaceutical position within your organisation.

My name is Erastus Musyoka, and I hold a Diploma in Pharmacy from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Kisumu Campus, where I commenced my studies in March 2021 and successfully graduated in December 2024.

Since February 2025, I have been working as a Pharmaceutical Technician at Mwingi Level 4 Hospital in Kenya. This experience has enabled me to develop practical skills in hospital pharmacy operations, including the handling, storage and dispensing of medicines, pharmaceutical stock management, maintaining accurate records, supporting patients and working closely with other healthcare professionals.

In addition to my pharmaceutical career, I have been a professional heavy-vehicle driver since November 2017. I hold a BCE driving licence and have practical experience operating commercial lorries, including Mitsubishi FH, Fuso, and Isuzu FRR and FVZ vehicles. This experience has strengthened my sense of responsibility, discipline, safety awareness, time management and ability to work reliably under demanding conditions. I believe these qualities complement my professional approach to healthcare and pharmaceutical work.

My professional experience has strengthened my attention to detail, sense of responsibility, communication skills and commitment to safe and effective use of medicines. Working in a busy hospital environment has also taught me the importance of teamwork, professionalism, confidentiality and putting patients' needs first.

I am particularly interested in developing my career in Germany because of the country's high standards of healthcare, strong professional environment and opportunities for continuous learning. I understand that my Kenyan qualification must be assessed and appropriately recognised in accordance with German requirements, and I am fully prepared to undertake the necessary recognition, adaptation, language and professional requirements.

I understand that the German professional title Pharmazeutisch-technische/r Assistent/in (PTA) has specific requirements, and I therefore do not claim this title before completing the applicable recognition process. Rather, I am seeking an opportunity where my Diploma in Pharmacy, practical hospital experience and professional capabilities can be assessed and where I can contribute while progressing through the appropriate German pathway.

I am fluent in English and currently studying German, with the clear goal of achieving the language proficiency required to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals in Germany. I am also studying French as an additional language. I am a motivated learner, adaptable to new working environments and willing to invest the necessary effort to integrate successfully into the German healthcare system.
