Every day I work with people, equipment and deadlines in the field, and I have learned that results come from showing up prepared and following through. Shitandi Tubula, a Field Operations Officer at the WEEE Centre Kisumu Regional Office, where I have worked since June 2024. I lead e-waste collection across Kisumu and the Nyanza region, engage stakeholders, and manage the agents who keep collections running. I am also an instructor at AHERI Academy, where I teach Basic Computer Packages, and I produce media and content for Trinity Chapel Kisumu.
I am qualified for this role because my work has built the skills it needs. Managing field agents has taught me to plan, communicate clearly and hold a team accountable. Preparing field reports and financial paperwork for the regional office has made me accurate and organised. Teaching computer skills has made me patient and able to explain things simply. Among my experiences, I have coordinated collection work and stakeholders across a whole region, trained learners in practical computer skills at AHERI Academy and previously at Strategic Studies Centre, and produced sermon materials and worship slide decks for church events. Earlier, as a distribution vendor with Daily Nation Media Group, I learned how to serve customers and meet daily targets. I also work well with minimal supervision and enjoy being part of a team.
